Authorities Release Suspect Descriptions and Vehicle Details Following December Incidents |
In an effort to identify individuals involved in recent robberies, the Strathcona County RCMP have released descriptions of two suspects and details about the suspect vehicle.
The incidents occurred on December 23, 2025, during Facebook Marketplace transactions in Sherwood Park.
In the first incident, a suspect met a seller at a local business, grabbed the iPhone box, and fled to a waiting vehicle occupied by other individuals.
Shortly after, a second seller was attacked with a bear spray-like substance at their residence before the suspect stole the phone and escaped.
The primary suspect is described as a male in his late 20s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a very dark complexion, a mustache, and some facial hair.
The second suspect is also a male in his late 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 110 lbs, with a very dark complexion, a thin beard along his chin, wearing eyeglasses and a black jacket with a fur-lined hood.
The suspect vehicle is an older model, four-door black Nissan, with three additional occupants wearing blue masks.
The RCMP urge the public to exercise caution during online transactions and recommend using the Safe Exchange Zone at the Strathcona County RCMP Detachment.
This designated area provides a secure environment for such exchanges.
