Bubble Wrap is beloved for its soothing pop and protective cushioning, but its true origin is a tale of unexpected invention.
Back in 1957, inventors Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes set out to create textured wallpaper by sealing two shower curtains together, trapping air bubbles inside.
Their creative wall covering idea fizzled, and even their attempt to market it as greenhouse insulation failed to take off.
But when they noticed how well the air-filled bubbles protected fragile objects, they discovered Bubble Wrapβs true calling as packaging material.
By the 1960s, tech giants like IBM embraced it for shipping delicate equipment, launching Bubble Wrap to global fame.
From quirky wallpaper to a household packing staple, Bubble Wrapβs joyβand its irresistible popβwas an accidental innovation. Read More... |
Spending long hours at your desk can strain your neck, shoulders, and lower back, but relief doesnβt require a workout.
Just a few minutes of midday desk stretches can reset your body, improve circulation, and recharge your focus.
Sitting too long causes muscle tightness, sluggish blood flow, and poor posture, leading to aches and low energy.
Brief stretch breaks help relieve tension, boost energy, and improve comfort before discomfort sets in.
Try a quick five-minute routine: neck releases, shoulder rolls, overhead reaches, seated twists, and standing stretchesβeasy moves done right at your desk.
Stretching mid-morning, after finishing emails, or before coffee makes it easier to build the habit.
Regular stretchingβeven just two minutesβleaves you more comfortable, energized, and focused for the rest of your workday. Read More... |
