The Sherwood Park Curling Club (SPCC) is seeking a dedicated Head Ice Technician to oversee ice operations for the upcoming 2026–27 season.

Our season runs from late September to March, featuring 18 weekly leagues, 4 weekly programs, and 3 annual bonspiels.

We also host corporate events, clinics, and Curling Alberta competitions.

Notably, we hosted the 2024 Curling Canada RockFest West and were honored as Curling Alberta’s Club of the Year in 2019.

As Head Ice Technician, you will report to the Business Manager and be responsible for ensuring world-class ice conditions and smooth operations from August 2026 to April 2027.

Your key responsibilities will include:

We are looking for candidates with:

• Level 2 Ice Technician Certification or higher

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• A customer-focused mindset

• The ability to work independently and deliver results

Joining SPCC offers:

• A competitive salary based on experience

• The opportunity to be part of a vibrant, award-winning curling community

• A modern, well-equipped facility

Application Deadline: February 28, 2026

Apply by email: [email protected]

In addition to this exciting opportunity, Sherwood Park is experiencing significant community developments.

The Sherwood Park & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Job Fair on April 10, 2026, at Millennium Place, providing a platform for job seekers and employers to connect.

Furthermore, the community is preparing to host the 2026 Alberta Summer Games from July 16 to 19, welcoming approximately 5,000 participants competing in various sports.

These events highlight Sherwood Park's commitment to growth and community engagement.
