WESeniors Strathcona is hosting a pivotal event titled "Ready to Be Safe" on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at their center located at #140, 501 Festival Way, Sherwood Park.

 

This gathering marks the commencement of National Seniors Safety Week, aiming to equip older adults with vital safety information and preparedness strategies.

 

Attendees will benefit from expert-led discussions on recognizing and avoiding investment scams, enhancing fraud awareness, and implementing effective emergency preparedness measures.

 

Practical advice will be provided on identifying scam indicators, responding to suspicious activities, and assembling personalized emergency kits.

 

The event offers a welcoming environment for seniors to gain valuable insights and engage in meaningful conversations.

 

A nominal $2 drop-in fee includes coffee and a muffin, with additional incentives such as door prizes and loot bags.
