The RavenWood Music Festival is set to make a triumphant return to Sherwood Park on July 10 and 11, 2026, promising an unforgettable weekend of live music and community spirit.

Organized by the Music Society of Strathcona County, this year's festival continues its tradition of showcasing local talent. By popular demand, the festival will feature the acclaimed Tragically Hip tribute band, Ahead By A Century, headlining on Friday, July 10. Their previous performances have captivated audiences, making their return highly anticipated.

On Saturday, July 11, the stage will welcome back Captain Tractor, a band deeply rooted in the local music scene. Known for their energetic performances and crowd-pleasing hits, their presence is sure to be a highlight of the festival.

The festival's commitment to local artists is evident in its diverse lineup. Friday's schedule includes performances by blues guitarist Charlie Jacobson and the dynamic 80s-90s cover band Pushing Ginger. Saturday will feature acts such as Jed and the Valentine, who recently played to a sold-out crowd at the RavenWood Music Club, Indigenous artist Curt Sipihko Paskwawimostos, singer-songwriter Donita Large, and Secondhand Dreamcar. Additionally, students from Crescendo Music Studios will showcase their talents throughout the weekend, highlighting the festival's dedication to nurturing emerging artists.

Festival president Bill Roberts emphasized the importance of supporting local talent, stating, "We're taking a big push for local and Western Canadian again this year. That's important for our festival." This focus ensures a rich and diverse musical experience for attendees.

Early bird tickets are available until the end of January, priced at $45 for a single day and $80 for the weekend. Starting February 1, prices will increase to $65 for a single day and $99 for the weekend pass. Children 16 and under can attend for free when accompanied by an adult, making it a family-friendly event.
