38-year-old suspect facing charges after series of rural property crimes |
Strathcona County RCMP have arrested a 38-year-old Edmonton man in connection with a series of rural break-ins across the county. The arrest follows an investigation into multiple property crimes targeting rural residences.
Police say the suspect was taken into custody after evidence linked him to several break-and-enter incidents in rural areas of Strathcona County. The investigation involved co-ordination between multiple RCMP detachments and specialized units.
Rural crime remains a priority for Alberta RCMP, who continue to work with residents and community organizations to prevent property crimes and apprehend those responsible. The RCMP encourage rural property owners to take preventive measures, including securing outbuildings, installing proper lighting, and reporting suspicious activity immediately. The accused is facing multiple charges related to the break-ins. He is expected to appear in court in the coming weeks. The RCMP are continuing their investigation and have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges or suspects. Anyone with information about these incidents or other rural crimes is asked to contact the Strathcona County RCMP or Crime Stoppers. |
