Seize Drugs and Contraband in Sherwood Park

In a significant operation, the Strathcona County RCMP Drug Unit executed search warrants on October 23, 2025, targeting residences in Sherwood Park and Edmonton.

The Edmonton residence yielded 1.6 kilograms of methamphetamine, 905 grams of cocaine, 552 grams of MDMA, 863 grams of ketamine, and over $20,000 in Canadian currency.

The Sherwood Park residence contained smaller quantities of steroids and methamphetamine, along with over $47,000 in Canadian currency.

Three individuals have been charged in connection with this investigation.

A 42-year-old resident of Sherwood Park faces charges of possession of proceeds over $5,000.

Two Edmonton residents, aged 44 and 50, have been charged with possession of proceeds over $5,000 and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All three individuals were released on undertakings with conditions and are scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park on January 21, 2026.

Inspector Kevin Peterson of the Strathcona County RCMP emphasized that this enforcement action directly reduces the supply of illegal drugs in the community and disrupts criminal networks that profit from harm.

He noted that drugs such as these are often linked to overdoses, property crime, violence, and the exploitation of vulnerable people.

By removing them from circulation, meaningful steps are being taken to prevent further harm and improve community safety.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the Strathcona County RCMP to combat drug trafficking and associated criminal activities in the region.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local authorities to aid in maintaining a safe and secure community.
