In Sherwood Park, the spirit of International Women's Day is alive and thriving, with several events planned to celebrate and empower women in the community.

The Sherwood Park & District Chamber of Commerce is organizing an International Women's Day Dinner on March 6, 2026, at the Broadmoor Public Golf Course. The evening will feature keynote speakers Teresa Spinelli, owner of the Italian Centre Shop Ltd., and the Honorable Iris Evans, a renowned community champion. Attendees can look forward to a buffet-style dinner, engaging conversations, and stories that underscore the power of giving back to grow stronger together. Tickets are priced at $65 per person, with sponsorship opportunities and a silent auction to support local initiatives.

Adding to the celebrations, Blush Artistry Inc. is hosting the EveryBODY Spring Show 2026 on March 21. This event highlights local talent, designers, and businesses, emphasizing the importance of supporting and empowering women. The show aligns with International Women's Day themes, bringing attention to hardworking women and their voices, creating an empowering atmosphere for all attendees.

These events not only celebrate the achievements of women but also foster a sense of community and support. As the theme suggests, when women thrive, we all rise. What will you give to gain?

$65 is a bit steep for a ticket, but sounds like a good cause.
