Strathcona County Implements Mandatory Alcohol Screening to Combat Impaired Driving

New enforcement measures lead to 53 sanctions in six months

Strathcona County has intensified its efforts against impaired driving by introducing Mandatory Alcohol Screening (MAS) for Community Peace Officers. Since March 10, 2025, officers have conducted over 6,000 breath tests, resulting in 53 impaired driving sanctions.
