Edmonton Driver Charged After Alleged High-Speed Flight from Police |
RCMP say speeds exceeded 200 km/h during October 4 incident |

An Edmonton resident faces charges following an alleged high-speed incident that ended in Strathcona County.
According to an October 28 RCMP release, an officer observed a northbound vehicle on Anthony Henday Drive at approximately 11:10 p.m. on October 4, 2026.
Police allege radar recorded the vehicle at 166 km/h in an 80 km/h construction zone.
When the officer attempted a traffic stop, RCMP say the vehicle fled at speeds exceeding 200 km/h.
Edmonton Police Service’s Air-1 later observed the vehicle travelling east on Highway 16 through Edmonton and back into Strathcona County.
The RCMP Real Time Operations Centre coordinated the response with local RCMP, EPS and Air-1.
Police say officers disabled the vehicle on Highway 16 east of Highway 21, and arrested the driver without further incident.
Allichia Gordon, 41, of Edmonton is charged with flight from police and dangerous operation.
She was released from custody and, according to the release, is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park on November 18, 2026.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
