Older adults looking for a gentle way to stay active and meet others have a new seasonal option starting Monday, November 9, 2026.

Strathcona County’s Seniors’ Winter Walk takes place at Ardrossan Recreation Complex on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m.

The County lists the season as November 9 through March 31.

Participation costs $2 or is included with an Active Pass.

Sponsored by Inter Pipeline, the program is described as a welcoming opportunity for older adults to keep moving and connect with others in the community.

Ardrossan Recreation Complex is located at 80–1 Avenue, Ardrossan.

The facility includes an indoor walking track, accessible parking and an elevator to the second-floor wellness centre and track.

Before attending, participants should confirm the meeting point, whether advance booking is needed and any dates when the program will not run.

For current details and accessibility questions, call Ardrossan Recreation Complex at 780-400-2084.

Good to see Inter Pipeline putting money into something like this instead of just putting their name on a sign somewhere.

Does anyone know if you need to book ahead or just show up? The article says to call but hoping someone here already knows.

Two dollars is a great deal honestly. No excuse not to go.

My mom would love this. She lives out in Ardrossan and always says she needs more reasons to get out of the house in winter.
