Before throwing away a broken item, Sherwood Park residents can give repair a chance at Strathcona County’s Fix-It Fair on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

The event takes place at the Agora in the Strathcona County Community Centre, 401 Festival Lane, with a 10 a.m. start listed on the County calendar.

Volunteer fixers will attempt repairs on a first-come, first-served basis.

The County cautions that a successful repair is not guaranteed, but encourages residents to try fixing an item before discarding it.

The fair offers a practical opportunity to explore whether something can remain useful rather than becoming waste.

Because the County’s main event notice does not specify every item volunteers can accept, residents should check suitability before bringing larger or unusual items.

For questions about the fair, contact Strathcona County Utilities at 780-449-5514 or email greenroutine@strathcona.ca.

Check the County’s event listing before attending for any changes to the schedule or participation details.

Cool idea but I called last time and they couldn't take my lawn mower. Worth phoning ahead if you have something big.

I love these events so much. Wish they did them more than once a year.

First come first served means get there before 10 or you'll be waiting forever. Just a heads up.

Went to one of these a couple years back. Fixed my lamp and saved myself like 80 bucks. Totally worth showing up early.

Does anyone know if they take sewing machines? That would be amazing.
